Dr. Kelly Carlisle, DMD

Dr. Kelly Carlisle is genuinely passionate about high quality dentistry, and delivering an exceptional dental experience for his patients. He is honored to be a member of a team whose foundation is built upon a philosophy of excellence and virtue. When it comes to treating his patients, Dr. Carlisle is seen just as much as a trusted friend as he is an oral health practitioner. Consultations with him are warm, attentive, the appointments relaxing, and the doctor-patient relationship open and honest. He really takes the time to listen to his patients. To Dr. Carlisle, dentistry is about more than just fixing teeth – dentistry is about strategic planning, intentional design, devotion to craft, and finding a way to to connect with people.

Professional

Dr. Carlisle attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry. After completing his undergraduate education he moved to Utah to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Roseman University College of Dental Medicine. In university, Dr. Carlisle was involved in clinical research and received recognition for outstanding achievement in the study of prosthodontics from the American College of Prosthodontics. He has completed additional training beyond dental school in the areas of implant dentistry and prosthodontics through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is currently working towards his credentialing to be recognized as an Associate Fellow on the American Board of Oral Implantology. Dr. Carlisle is extremely committed to continuing education, and he highly values extensive training as a dedicated lifelong learner. He is a standing member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Board or Oral Implantology, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and the Salt Lake City Chocolate Society (ask him about his advanced knowledge in bean-to-bar fine chocolatiering!)

Personal

As a native of Green Mountain Falls, Colorado, a small mountain town at the foot of the Rockies, Dr. Carlisle grew up with an avid appreciation for life out doors and the beauty in nature. Throughout his youth, he developed a natural intrigue for biology, and enjoyed drawing, sculpture, creating music, and other activities that required a high level of dexterity and aesthetic sensibilities. He built custom homes with his father being a general contractor, and learned a deep appreciation for fine craftsmanship, artistry, attention to detail, and patience. Although he enjoys home renovation projects, his inclination for science, desire to help others, and propensity for design and working with his hands lead him to a path in dentistry. Dr. Carlisle has grown to call Utah his home, and is excited to announce his recent engagement to his beautiful fiancé, Julia. In his free time, Dr. Carlisle enjoys mountain biking, traveling to unknown places, cooking, tending to his garden, and making fine craft pickles.
